Just as what everyone would guess: It’s me, myself, and I.. with my macbook and iphone.. Oh and my thousands korean celebrities crush.
But hey, relationships doesn’t only mean the “actual” relationship, so I’ll twist this up a bit.
Friends: So last year [2011] was really special for me. In addition to all the friendships I have back home in the Philippines, and here in Imperial Valley, I’ve automatically gained a new set of friends in UCLA. Although I’ve only been with these people for 11 weeks, I’ve definitely gotten close to a lot of them and I’m very lucky to meet and have them as a support system in UCLA. And of course, I’m really really grateful too that I’ve been able to keep up with all my friends here back in the valley and in the Philippines. Though I don’t see everyone a lot, we all still manage to have the same relationship, and this made me realize that I’m very lucky to be surrounded by people that makes my life great. [=
Family: I feel like as I grow older every year, my relationship with my family also grows stronger. I am very lucky to have such loving parents who raised me really well. I felt like this year, I’ve gotten close to my parents a lot. Early 2011, when my dad was not yet here in US, I was basically my mom’s room mate, and every night, we’re like little girls who would stay up and just share stories and secrets with each other. Then with my dad, it feels like I’m slowly understanding him now. Though he raised us very strictly, he’s definitely loosen up this year since we’re already old. And I really appreciate my parents calling me every night to their room and asking me to give them a massage, watch tv with them, and just share stories with them. Last night they even called me and asked me to dougie. hahaha. But yeah, they’re definitely cool parents. They don’t spoil me a lot, but they don’t provide less.
As with my brothers, I’m the eldest but it feels like these two boys are my kuyas. Maybe because they are very dependable. Since we’re all around the same age, my brothers are like my friends too. We hangout, party together, and all that good stuff. And I’m very lucky to have brothers that look after their sister.
